PDA
Utopia - Customer Service Company in Costa Rica
With the goal to provide telephone support for
the United States and the Latin segment of that nation and software development
for wireless devices, PDA Utopia will initiate operations in Costa Rica. David
Anderson, CEO and founder of the company originally from California, commented
that the decision to open an office in Costa Rica was very well studied.
The strategic location of this country provides a door to Latin America
and the labor force is highly educated in English, as well as in technology. The
company’s operations involve customers making calls to a toll-free number
installed in San Jose, California; which immediately is transferred to the call
center in Costa Rica, where their questions are answered. The company will start
operations at the end of January, with an initial investment of $2,5 million. Stage II requires an additional $3 million investment.
At first, they will hire 100 people and in a near future they hope to hire 200
more people.
