"She Hate Me"

4102109141078.jpgI am such a damned crybaby. I watched Spike Lee's, She Hate Me, tonight, and I swear I must have cried two or three times watching it. There is something about watching babies being born that brings it out in me. Perhaps it is just reflecting on the birth of my two girls. Seeing a strong loving father interact with his kids, is something that also gets to me.

But the movie is not really about that... At least that is not all it is about. I don't particularly care for Spike Lee movies. They tend to hit you over the head with their "message," and I stopped watching them because of that.

If I had known that She Hate Me, was a Spike Lee "joint," I probably would have passed. I am glad I didn't.

The tagline from IMDB:

"Fired from his job for exposing corrupt business practices, a former biotech executive turns to impregnating wealthy lesbians for profit."

Sound interesting? It was. It was funny as hell in parts, especially the getting the Lesbian's pregnant part... I need to try that Viagra/Red Bull Combination. hehe... But it was also a morality play, about a man coming to grips with his own feelings and his own sense of what is right and wrong. If you have not seen it, rent it, and tell me what you think!

And oh yeah, if you didn't notice by the picture of Kerry Washington over on the right, there are some pretty hot women playing the lesbians, including the absolutely delicious Monica Bellucci.

"My First Mister"

I saw this movie last night on local Cable. And I have to tell you that Leelee Sobieski has become one of my favorite actresses.

The woman is so diverse as an actress. Her role in The Idol, was absolutely touching. Her role in Eyes Wide Shut, was one of the few interesting parts of the movie, and she was powerful and yet at the same time fragile as Joan of Arc.

She's only 23 years old, so I know she has a long career ahead of her, but with her combination of beauty, sensuality and talent, I am forced to wonder why we dont see more of her.

Considering the limited number of young actresses dominating the big screen these days, and the fact that most of them can't touch Leelee in looks or sheer diversity and talent... It makes me wonder.

She has four movies currently in post production for premiers this year. I am looking forward to seeing them all. If you get a chance, rent My First Mister, its a great movie.

Pretty sexy outfit too huh?
