Now I will admit that Bush showed a lot of class in the waning months of his Presidency. But what kind of fantasy life are these people living if they actually believe this crap.

The message being sent: you're either with us or you're against us.

Ever since he first announced his candidacy, Obama has enjoyed tremendous support from the press. They've touted him, glorified him, praised him, and covered for him. They've also fought his battles for him, taking on such presumptuous upstarts like "Joe the Plumber" and Stanley Kurtz and anyone else who dares risk embarrassing Obama so he won't have to sully his saintly hands.

And in return, how has this slavish devotion worked out for them?

Anyone stupid or partisan enough to vote for these people and their tactics, deserves the economic desolation to come.

Seems the conservative types are really starting to show their true colors when it comes to Barak Obama. How many lives have been lost in Baghdad in the last week, month, six months? Does the electricity run 24/7? Is Iraq safer than when we entered the war? How do YOU define wasted. I am sorry, but I take nothing away from the sacrifice of our troops when I say, "This war has been a disaster unparalleled in the history of our country, and if return for sacrifice is any measure of whether our soldiers lives were, "wasted," or not, I would say they were wasted, and all the spin and Conservative Bullshitista rhetoric in the world, will not change that fact...

Bullies like Coulter are too often ignored by the Left, it is time she is challenged and called out on her crap.

...impugning the grief felt by 9/11 widows regardless of their politics is nothing short of despicable. It denies them their humanity and disregards the very public and horrific nature of their spouses' deaths. The attacks motivated a lot of us to become more active in politics in order to make sure our voices contribute to the debate, and it is impossible to argue that the 9/11 widows (and widowers, and children, and parents) have less standing to opine on foreign policy than Ann Coulter or Ted Rall.

This represents the downside of provocateurs, even those entertaining enough to enjoy for 80% of the time. Instead of arguing facts or philosophy, the provocateur usually relies on ad hominem attack in order to degrade and dismiss their opposition. A little of that goes a very long way, and unfortunately Coulter delivered it in droves yesterday. She owes these victims closest to 9/11 an abject apology and a retraction of her remarks, and she should pray that she doesn't ever experience the kind of loss that these people have had. Regardless of their politics, their grief was and is all too real, and that drives their public engagement. I doubt a single one of them wouldn't gladly trade their influence for one more day with the ones they lost. Shame on Ann for implying otherwise.
