The Costa Rica Party Guide
Thanks to all who purchased the now legendary Costa Rica Party guide. Since one of my best friends wrote the original version back in April, we have sold over 150 copies, and the guide, has become a club with members from all arround the world. Below are just a couple of comments from some of the members.
Jim There are lots of websites and guides to Costa Rica. What makes this guide different is the personal touch... "David, I just want to thank you for going out with us last night. We had a blast. I have been coming to CR for years now. I considered myself something of an expert, and I did get out of the Rey. In fact, I never stayed there, preferring the more casual, non-pressured atmosphere of the Presidente. I did not think your guide could teach me anything, cuase I figured I knew all the spots. And it is true. Many of the spots you covered where places I knew about. The cool thing was that The Guide gave me a kind of a unique perspective not just on the Party Spots, but also how to have a good time without going broke. You are a party animal, God only knows how dangerous you would be if you hadn't got married! Nevertheless, it is obvious that you and your BOYZ have your fingers on the pulse of the Party Scene. Your contacts are awesome, and I have to say that anyone who has a chance to take the "Tour," with you, is in for a treat. Hope the old lady did not give you too hard a time for hangin' with us. I cant wait to come back!" The guide is about helping you have a good time. Where to Eat And I decided to make it a subscription based service, where for the same $20 you get a years worth of updates. By now, the early purchasers are receiving version 4! With more to come before the end of the year. So check it out, for $20 you cant go wrong! Buy the guide via Pay Pal Shopping Cart (You don't need a paypal account and can pay via credit card) Even if you dont buy the guide, Make sure you vote for In Search of Utopia as Best Blog in Latin America! (Read On) It takes two mouse clicks and you are done! As best Latin/Carib/South American Blog! ![]() Update: December 13th - Just two days to go. ISOU has moved into third place, dont know how long it will last, but I am thrilled to be in that position against such strong competition. Thanks to all who have voted and continue to support me. We may not win, but it would be great to finish in the top three, please vote! July 31, 2006

Then pop $20 and get this guide. And don't take my word for it: UPDATE: The guide is selling several copies a week, thanks to all who bought it.
Dear David: Jim
When I started promoting the guide, it was sort of an inside joke. One of my best buddies, who has been coming to Costa Rica off and on for years, wrote the original with the idea of helping visiting gringos keep from getting ripped off. As he said, "I was doing it for free anyway, hanging out at The Rey, and schooling the new guys. Hell I figured I might as well make some beer money from it!" The first edition was just the basics, a 12 page survival guide. And then I stepped in... Call it my marketing side. The guide has been expanded to over 40 pages, packed with inside information, a map to hotspots, reviews, a survival spanish guide, and numerous tips on how to have fun in the Party Capital of Central America, without losing your shirt or your sanity. I focused on the stuff other guides dont give you. We also have a monthly newsletter that we send to all members. Where to Eat And I decided to make it a subscription based service, where for the same $20 you get a years worth of updates. By now, the early purchasers are recieving version 4! With more to come before the end of the year. So check it out, for $20 you cant go wrong!

Partying in Costa Rica
Most Recent Updates Also, there is a new Family and Couples version of the manual that focuses on family fun and or romantic getaways for couples and singles. You can find it here.
I just found this book days before I left for Costa Rica, and wish I had found it before, because I had made some arrangements from companies I had found on the internet, only to find I was "ripped-off" once I got there. Note: JB Spent a week in Costa Rica using our Single Man's Guide to Partying in Costa Rica. He has also provided some valuable feedback on additions to the book, has been added. All previous purchasers recieved a free update. The Guide is comprehensive enough to give you ALL the goodies on having a BLAST in Costa Rica. I recently added some additional goodies of my own to the book and we will continue to provide free updates to anyone who buys the book for one year. We also have a palm version of the book that can be loaded directly onto a Palm Handheld or Treo Smartphone. A future version planned for later this year, probably include some photographs of some of the top spots. The biggest issue most people have in visiting Costa Rica is that there is so much to do, that it can become overwhelming. On the otherhand, many guys come down and never get more than a few blocks from the notorious Hotel Del Rey. The Truth is out there, but you can spend hours trying to research the best party spots, and paying for pay sites that offer the same recycled "tica pics," or you can buy this kick ass book that will give you a huge jump start on having a blast in Costa Rica.
Note: We can also help you to make contacts for various services while in Costa Rica, including: Guides For Players Club Members Only
