Comments

To those of you who have commented over the last few weeks and have not seen your comments appear, my apologies. I am guilty of serious blog neglect, and have not even checked the comment queue in two months. It has been a busy time for me, but I have no excuse. I either need to shutter this blog or take care of it. My apologies.

Comment Spam - Sticky Post

I am getting hit with a particularly nasty big of comment spam right not. I am going to have to turn on Authentication for a couple of days. Sorry for the inconvenience. Will go back to regular moderated comments in a few days, but I have spent hours deleting these assholes messages yesterday and today. I simply don't have the time for it.

Very Busy

Blogging has been coming in spurts the last couple of weeks. I am working on several projects here in Costa Rica and abroad. Will hopefully be closing a major project out of the country in the next few days. If I dissapear for a day or two, you will know why.

I'm Back!

Well, I had quite a week last week! Spent Monday, Wednesday and Friday, training one of my new clients. Tuesday I flew to Honduras for a meeting with another potential client, and Thursday met with two more, so I barely had time to breath this week. I am going to try and get caught up today with what's going on in the world and blogsphere!

Busy week...

This is going to be a busy week for me again this week. I am doing training for a client three days this week, so blogging will be light.

Away again....

I will be in Esterillo again today doing some business. I was also with a client all day yesterday. This will likely be the only post today unless one of the guest bloggers kicks in.

Comments

I continue to have some issues with comments. Every time I make an ajustment to eliminate comment spam, seems I blog legitimate commenters like Marty earlier. Please try to comment and let me know if you have any problems.

Sick and Swamped

I will not be posting much the next few days. I am sick and swamped with the corporate training I am doing. Looks like my guest bloggers are not filling in much, so please check out the archives.

Seeking Guest Bloggers - Sticky Post

I am loading up on professional obligations these days and need help.

I am curently looking for 1-3 additional guest bloggers. As you can see by my left sidebar, some of the best have blogged here at ISOU. The only requirements I have is that you must blog at least once a week, preferably more, and write well. Political slant does not matter, and I would welcome guest blogging by moderate Republican or Conservative bloggers, as long as you are respectful to my readership. I have retired some of my previous guest bloggers do to innactivity.

What's in it for you?

1. A chance for exposure on a Top 250 Blog.
2. If you are a Rightie, a chance to debate the issue on a progressive blog. (I will not censor you).
3. A chance to build your blogging resume.

If you are interested, send an email to blogeditor, with a bit about yourself, and a sample of your writing if you have one. I am especially interested in female bloggers. (This blog has enough testosterone already!), but welcome anyone with a sincere interest. This is a PG-13 blog, so no nudity or extreme NSFW stuff.

My thanks to the ever Lovely Kate, for helping me out Now she is someone I would LOVE to guest blog!!

The Big Two Mil!

Just a note to thank all of you who have continued to support ISOU over the past year, especially since the blog went down last April.

Sometimes in the next few days, we will hit 2 Million Hits. To some this is not a big deal, especially those who rightfully consider the number of visitors a more meaningful number. We have a hit to visitor ration of 65%, meaning that the number of unique visitors, based on historical data is about 65% of the hit count, meaning that we have had approximately 1.3 million unique visitors over the last two years, still not a bad number.

But forgive me if I celebrate my 2 million hits. Its been a struggle at times to keep this thing going, and on more than one occasion I have considered giving it up. There was a time when this place was kind of a family with Conservatives, Liberals and Moderates all hanging out, debating the issues and just having fun. That has changed. We have changed. The well to some degree has been poisoned, and for that I am truly sorry. I can accept some responsibility for it, as I have grown more and more dissolutioned and more vocal about the failings of our Administration. At the same time, I have seen some of my conservative friends develop BUNKER SYNDROME, drifting further and further from reality as their own disillusionment kicks in.

For those who stuck around, I just want to offer a humble thanks. May the next year be just as successful with half the drama...

Testing New Blogging Software

I am testing some new blogging software. It is called Qumana.

This is a test post. It seems to work fine. Except I get an error telling me that it did not publish, when obviously it did. Seems to be a pretty convenient way to post without opening a browser window to do so.
