Maybe you need something something more substantial in your life than things and money. A more intimate relationship with God did it for me. :)

Believe me Angel, I am fine with the Lord, that is why I have the THINGS and Money. All of it is because of him, far more than anything I have done. My depression today is more than likely just a state of mind based on my Birthday coming up and not knowing if I have truly accomplished what I wanted to accomplish by 49 YO. Perhaps I am being too analytical about that, but you among all of my friends realize that this is simply a part of who I am, for better or worse. While my personal beliefs are something quite private for me, my testimony in those beliefs is daily, and not just through words, but actions. I am perhaps in many ways the same David you knew and loved, while having evolved in ways that you might not be able to imagine.
Pray for me, as I do for you and all those I love, daily.

If I rated my life on what I have or have not accomplished, I would be depressed too! I wanted to be a vet, a teacher, marine biologist, and a forest ranger ... plus live in a cabin in the woods with nothing for at least 25 miles but woods and critters. I wanted a jeep and a pet hawk too.

I am none of those things, but I am surrounded by critters ... four-legged and two-legged alike! LOL
