Who's doing the scaring now, David? First off, the only people I hear mention Obama's race are Obama supporters, so you can get off your own brand of bullshit, Bro. Black Panther? Have you stooped to just making stuff up? And he has stated he's "friendly" with William Ayers, and Ayers assisted Obama in getting started in Chicago politics, as well as serving together on the Board of Directors of The Woods Fund. Who is William Ayers? He's a confessed terrorist who participated in bombing NYC police headquarters, the US Capitol and the Pentagon in the 70s. Ayers has explicitly stated that he doesn't regret setting bombs, and feels that they (Weather Underground) didn't do enough. And this ain't nothin' new, Bro. Maybe you're just hearing about it now, but those of us who believe Barack Obama's philosophies and policies would be dangerous for America have been trying to get this information out to the public for months now. Oh, and yes, I thank God I've got my guns. In fact, I'm pretty thankful that all Americans who lawfully own firearms have those firearms. That's one of the (many) best things about being an American. Posted by: Boyd Boyd, its known as satire... But lets look at the facts.... OBAMANATION - Written by the same BOZO who did the Swift Boat Job on Kerry, and which is widely cited for NUMEROUS errors. The Ayers thing... Lets look at facts.... Obama and Ayers, now a university professor, have met several times since 1995, when both worked with a non-profit group trying to raise funds for a school improvement project and a charitable foundation. CNN's review of project records found nothing to suggest anything inappropriate in the volunteer projects in which the two men were involved. The racism part... Well, I could quote and link to a bunch of info on that, But your folks do a good enough job pointing out the bullshit. So lets not play innocent Bro. You know as well as I do, that Rethuglicans are quite adept at playing the race card. Posted by: David Scott Anderson Oh yeah and... not that we would let facts get in the way of a good lynching party... She referred to an article in Saturday's New York Times about Obama's relationship with Ayers, now 63. But that article concluded that "the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called 'somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.'" Or for that matter... The truth... Well guess what, aint gonna happen this time Bro. Obama aint Kerry, and this aint 2004. Posted by: David Scott Anderson Okay, so you think it's fine that Obama launched his political career in this terrorist's home. You think it's okay that he worked with the unrepentant terrorist on The Woods Fund. It's alright with you that they have a "friendly" (quote from Obama spokesman) relationship. I disagree, but you seem to think this is something that the McCain campaign shouldn't even mention. Not too big on free speech there, eh? Posted by: Boyd It's alright with you that they have a "friendly" (quote from Obama spokesman) relationship. Did Obama say they were friends, or friendly? No... And I gave you plenty of other stuff on this one Hiram, so dont ignore it. Obama is being smeared. And say what you will, but if we are going to bring up charector issues, lets talk about McCain cheating for five years on a wife who waited for him while he sat in a North Vietnamese hell hole for an equal amount of time. Or the Keating scandal, or the fact that he embraces racist like the gentleman who runs the University that prohibits, or used to prohibit interacial dating, the same one who slammed him when he was running against bush. We may never agree on Politics Bro, but I am not going to back down on my claims that the Republicans are running a smear campaign. Posted by: David Scott Anderson Yeah, Keating would be a smear, since he was cleared of all ethics charges ("exercised poor judgment," as I recall), along with John Glenn. And if you want to duck what Obama's staff said, fine. That means you don't get to blame McCain for anything other than what comes out of his own mouth. If that's the case, we're done talking here. You've eliminated your entire argument. Posted by: Boyd Bro, bro, bro, you do a good job of ignoring those other links, like the Fact Check link? Posted by: David Scott Anderson I thought we were only paying attention to the words out of the candidates' own mouths? Which is it? Posted by: Boyd Post a comment
