There is racism everywhere to varying degrees. Usually, the only people to claim that it doesn't exist are white people who have very little contact with people of other races. I just recently asked my husband if he thought that Obama could win the election considering the racism that permeates this country. He thinks he has a chance. I do too. Seriously, white men let black men get the right to vote before they let white women. Which to me speaks volumes when you carefully look at Hillary's numbers in comparison to Obama's. She really should have had the nomination, IMO. Posted by: Angel First off: Hi, Angel! Long time no "see!" (Talking with my friends here is by far more important than anything we may have to say about this political campaign.) Second, you had to dig pretty deep to get that one, David. First off, that's pretty old news. Secondly, I personally perceive that like the MSNBC report at the start of that clip: some idiot news nerd trying to be cute. Too cute by half. It strikes me as though they first ran into the term "baby mama" from the film of the same name that came out about two months earlier. Oh, and which revolved around...two white women. You know me, Bro, I'm not going to deny the existence of racism. And I'll admit that I probably see less of it than really exists, since I'm white. By the same token, I think you have to admit that you just might see more of it than really exists. Anyway, four-month-old story, about an idiot at Fox News without sufficient editorial supervision, whose major influence in life is the popular culture of what's hitting the movie screens. No, I don't see racism in this. So shoot me (wanna borrow one of my guns? ;) ). And I stand behind my claim that whenever I hear anything about race in this presidential campaign, it's coming from Obama or his supporters, not "The Right." Posted by: Boyd That was just the only one I remembered enough to YouTube search. There are many, many more. I gave you some of Michelle Malkin nonsense in the last post. Which I need to respond to your comment there. Posted by: David Scott Anderson Angel, Hillary lost, get over it. (grin). But she is showing a lot of class now. And yeah he is going to win. Posted by: David Scott Anderson Hey Boyd! :) David ... she lost, but she shouldn't have. Period. Whether Obama wins it, we will just have to wait and see. I know the hubby is voting for him. I am still in the air. I am seriously considering not voting and I have voted every election but one, local and not, since I turned 18. As to where the racism comments are coming from, I have yet to hear the McCain camp or the Obama camp say anything about racism. Usually it is coming from the media and blogs. But, that is just me.
