Open letter on the hurricane in Nicaragua

Dear Readers;
Many of you know that I am working in Nicaragua right now on a very important project. So important that I am in Managua the week of my 11th wedding anniversary. Well, being in Managua, I was spared the ravages of Hurricane Felix that recently passed over the Northeastern coast of this wonderful country, making thousands of mostly indigenous people homeless, and killing others, including a toddler.

The following email is from a good friend of mine here in Managua, and the owner of one of the countries most promising call centers. Please assist if you can, and if you are uncomfortable giving via a private company, please donate to the International Red Cross, and make sure your money is earmarked to help the victims of this human tragedy.

I am depending on your generosity. Even small donations of $5-10 will help.

Thank You,

David

Hello All,

As all of you might have seen or heard in the news, The Atlantic Cost of Nicaragua was severely hit by Hurricane Felix. The Nicaraguan government has confirmed that at least 40,000 people have been affected by the hurricane and 9000 house have been completely destroyed. The death toll is at 9 confirmed so far; but with many missing.

In an effort to help those in need; Connect International and Inversiones Almori, have started a donation drive. The goal is to at least collected $200,000 Cordoba’s; roughly $11,000 USD.
The money will be use to buy food, cloths, medicine, etc.

If you would like to help out; please send the money to:
Connect International, LLC
29 E Madison ST, suite 1650
Chicago, IL 60602

Please make the checks payable to Connect International, LLC. At the end of next week we will be sending the money to Almori in Managua. They are currently working with the Red Cross and some other Non Government, non profit organizations; to find the best way to make this donations available for those in need.

I thank you in advance for your help and prayers.
