Identifying a Stroke
I got this in email today, thought I would pass it on. Please link to it or post it on your blog, you never know if you too might save a life. STROKE IDENTIFICATION RECOGNIZING A STROKE S*Ask the individual to SMILE . NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue! ... if the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke - Also give the individual 2 Aspirins as they will help to thin out their blood... If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 9-1-1 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved. (I hate chain mail, but I am sure that this will reach more than 10 people!) Posted by David A at April 16, 2007 12:27 PM
