Tas this one's for you Bro...

I went through several songs trying to find just the right one to see you off, but they all sounded so damned Gay! LMAO! First Angel, and now you. I don't know what to say Dawg, you were a giant. A voice of sanity. You were, are, and always will be MY FRIEND!

And yeah I know you ain't dead. And as long as your blog children are out there carrying the torch, you never will be. I got a lot of shit to say, but I am going to wait a bit. Maybe one day you will get down here to CR and I can buy you a couple of beers, a fish taco and introduce you to some sweet honeys.

I love you man, and I dont say that lightly. Though we have never met, you have been a brother, and an inspiration.

One Love!

David

Not sure what to say about your kind words, David.. You're one of the bloggers I'd consider to be a brother, too. Just been together to put up with a lot of shit. (Unfortunately, often timest hat shit was caused by me posting sdome rants on ISOU...)

Anytime school and work suck, I think, "Maybe if I email David about that researching job he offered me, I;d be lucky enough to go down to CR soon..." But, the reality of my life sucks. Trigonometry is holding me back from moving out of state, and after I move it will just be to complete my education. I need to finish that first before anything else. But, with luck and seeing where I get to study/travel to while I'm a student, I could make it down there...

Tas, your blogging experience has no doubt made you a better man and person. There will be many who will miss you. I checked in on and old buddy of ours the other day, TCF, and found his blog had not been updated in months.
Like you, I have been so busy with LIFE, building my business, raising my kids, "raising hell," that I let some of the comraderie and fun we once had slip away.
When I go back through the archives and look at the old shit, the discussions, the guest bloggers including you... Angel, Boyd, Jay Tea who is still hanging around... Even people like Rob from Say Anything who I once banned for being a dick... And I realize we had something pretty damned special.
I also realize that in some ways I missed the boat.
I could have made a lot more eBay money from this thing! (Wink), and probably gotten a couple of consulting gigs like Willis and some others. But that was not the point.
You leaving is a wakeup call... It's sort of like, am I running the blog, or is the blog running me... And I cant answer that question. Perhaps it is the second option and that is why at 2:00am, with a sexy woman sleeping a few feet away from me, I am still on the damned computer.
There is something about having a voice. Reaching out... Even when you are not sure who is really listening.
One thing I have learned, there ARE people listening, and it is not a tale told by stats.... It is not the thousands of souls who get deposited by google every day, it is the Tas's and Angels and Boyd's and Stephens and TCF's, and Qusans and Marks... That really matter. Because even though I am thousands of miles from most of you guys. I know that on any given night, I can sit down here and spill my guts, and someone will read it, and think about it, and maybe... just maybe reach back!
We have been blessed with a great opportunity my Brother. Go do what you need to do, because you have already created a body of work, and a legacy, that will live on, till you chose to return... or Not...

And one day, when you are ready, and if I am in a position to offer it, the door will be open in CR, you just need to knock!

Peace and Goodnight!

The blogging stuff is fun again for me. I blog about a lot of things in Florida no one else touches. Got an Air America link for that. The Mark Foley stuff has created attention.

The problem is we all become copy and pasters. It becomes less about writing. People like Glenn Reynolds just do two word links. Why bothers. Yes, the Blogads money.

I attacked a Tampa blogger pretending to be a politcal blogger. He ran T & A stories. He said he wasn't doing it to get Blogads. Now he runs ads and signed with an internet consulting firm. Some people really are in it for the money. Someone like Josh Marshall deserves every dollar he gets. If a blogger is going to write several stories of two Caralina Panther cheerleaders getting arrested in a public restroom he might as well run a real porn site.

I have people ask me why I don't get Blogads. I don't get enough traffic to make money off it.

David, from the comment filters of this blog, I got a message from a relative of Martin Anderson. He thanked us for covering the story. So there is some good coming out of ISOU.

Michael, first my apology for not mentioning you in my acknowledgments last night. You have been a pillar of the ISOU community, and your guest blogging has been awesome. And I am grateful and proud that we are having some impact.
