This and that...
I found this piece of interesting software, on one of the Palm Forums, today.
"What led us to create this software was the need to transfer all phone data (phone calls/ text messages) from "Treo" smart phones to a personal computer in readable form. Treodesktop is a desktop application capable of understanding and making available any type of phone data from any old or new PalmOs Treo model. This software bridges the gap in the Palm Desktop built-in software which only provides a phone data backup, with no possibility of reading and storing the information."
The interface to the software is very clean and functional. I think it will add to my ability to track business transactions involving my phone. The great thing is it is only about $12. So go for it.
I have been neglecting my Tia Zelmira fans as of late, and want to make up for it. The lovely Marianela Valverde,
does a more than adequate job of that I think... Your opinion?
I spent the afternoon yesterday in the mall with the wife, and though I should be used to it by now, I continue to be impressed by the sheer beauty of Costa Rican women.
They come in all sizes, shapes, colors, ages, but they share a common beauty and sexiness that is unparalleled in my experience.
Anyway, Marianela is a fine example of that.
Happy "Official" Mothers day to all my Costa Rican Mothers, may your day, and your day off... be a special one, filled with joy and happiness...
More Tech Stuff
Looks like the long rumored Palm 700Wx will be hitting Sprint stores next week. No word yet on when the Palm OS version of the phone for GSM networks will be available.
Too bad, after spending a month with my Treo 650, I am already ready to invest whatever it takes to get my hands on the next version, especially if it comes with more internal memory.
Meanwhile....
Bush Warns It Would Be 'Disaster' to Leave Iraq
President Bush said Monday the United States would lose "our soul as a nation" if it gave up on the Iraq war now, warning it would be a "disaster" if U.S. troops left before the new Iraqi government can control the country.
"We're not leaving so long as I'm president," an animated Bush said in a wide-ranging White House press conference. "That would be a huge mistake." He conceded, though, that the war was "straining the psyche of our country" with U.S. deaths now standing at more than 2,600.
At the long and varied news conference, an energetic Bush also called for a rapid deployment of the U.N.-mandated international force for southern Lebanon, saying the "need is urgent," and answered questions about Iran's nuclear program, high gas prices and the lack of progress in rebuilding New Orleans one year after Hurricane Katrina.
Bush made his comments as support for the Iraq war among the American public continues to plummet and Bush's approval numbers stay stuck in the 30s. More conservative commentators are raising questions, expressing doubts or even attacking the president outright on his foreign policy decisions, with the Iraq war figuring prominently. Republican candidates have also been distancing themselves from Bush as mid-term elections near and in some contests the war has become a central issue.
Bush said he was troubled that so many U.S. House and Senate candidates were calling for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq.
"These are decent people. They're just as American as I am," he said. "I just happen to strongly disagree with them."
Asked if the continued violence in Iraq was a sign the American strategy was not working there, Bush said, "If I didn't think the Iraq policy would work, I'd change it." He said U.S. military commanders in Iraq believed the current U.S. strategy "will work."
Anyone want to explain to me why it isn't a disaster already?

My brain's too frazzled for politics.
But, as a fellow Treo user (I have the old 600), I'm definitely checking out that link to the TreodDesktop software. I'd love to be able to keep records of my txt msgs!
I'm curious what other software you've got running on yours. After the last time my Treo got drenched and replaced (love those warranties) I haven't reinstalled any new toys on mine. Drop me an email about your favorites if you get a chance.
Cheers!
