Or is it that the human filth that use Christ's name to steal people's money are particularly appalling?

I came across your post by pure coincidence, but the funny thing is that I was just about to ask, by email, a friend of mine that if he would go to "Corner Prayer" night with me then I would go pray with our favorite preacher who is very disappointed by his call to the church and local viewing audience to come and pray with him on some of the dangerous corners of Chicago's south side. His sermon Sunday was about people being lazy and scared and he said it would not be tolerated in his church. But what touched me is that my nephew was gunned down in the exact area that he wants to preach. My nephew Jason did not make to 21 years old. The killer was never found since he fired out of a crowd and nobody knew anything detectives said. It was a bunch of young people his age with guns hangin out and arguing I found out later over somebody's girlfriend and nasty words were exchanged so . . . it was the Saturday after Halloween and what has it been 4 years now? I try to block it out of my mind. I did not, could not save him from the streets. I should have done something more so I want to go pray there even though that is the last place I want to go to but God knows I wish there was somebody there praying the night my nephew died on the street. Who knows who might be saved for one night or some other night. It happens to be on a Wednesday night actually. I wish somebody was praying on the corner where my nephew died from multiple gun shot wounds, but there wasn't anybody there but--but evil. So, I believe it would help to heal me in various ways perhaps and maybe I could help somebody else if not only to just be good on a corner where bad is trying to take over. Black kids in particular in Chicago and all over are out here dealing drugs on the street because of the traditional poverty inherited generation after generation still, plus the associated ignorance because of poor education and lack of spirituality and inspiration often times at home by dysfunctional and poor parents. What a disaster being born just to die so young. Sometimes it is sheer bad luck of an innocent victim of a little girl or boy or honor-roll teenager that gets hit with a stray bullet. Anyhoo, I have never done anything quite like it but I think I will. So when I saw your post, I thought, wow, if I had the money, I could open an organization that would help at risk teens. I have been a legal secretary for 20 years and I know that some young men and women do not have the social skills to assimilate in the business world and for that matter the world at large. I don't care so much about blending with the mainstream as I do by the fact that they suffer because they cannot assimilate for their best interest. Of course many people do well even with the worst starts, but how many more would do as well or better with the help they need early on. Sometimes it seems its only a matter of charm school graces with a strong sense of right and wrong and trusting your teacher who guides you to the next level in life. Lucky kids have great parents for all that. Disadvantaged are blessed when they can get it wherever they can. And a proper demeanor can only be attainable when some the stress and worry about ordinary day to day ghetto survival is relieved. Well, your letter is probably some kind of hoax. As if I would get lucky enough to find a benefactor to carry out good works in the name of Jesus. It is a beautiful thought though. It is a beautiful beautiful huge and generous thought and dream. NO, it is not just you, and I fell for this poor lady's letter. Big time...........I think there must be a special place in hell who use Christ's name to scam people.........
