RIP Robert Anthony Anderson

My oldest brother, and father of Actor Anthony Anderson, died this morning of cancer. My brother was someone who lived life by his own rules. He lived fast, partied hard and leaves a legacy that will not exactly endear him to Saint Peter, or insure him of an entry into the pearly gates. He was a player before the term was even concieved, and a hustler who loved women and the fast life.

I had a dream last night of my mother and sister, both who have passed on. They were waiting in a train station or airport for a flight. It is the second dream I have had with both of them in the past three weeks. I would like to think that they were waiting for Tony, to take him to the other side.

I can't really afford to fly to California right now, things are tight for the moment and I am in the process of trying to close some business and get the new company off the ground. The rest of the family is gathering even as I write this, and I trust they will give Tony a good send off.

Things have always been a bit tense between him and his famous son. Tony was not much of a father to Anthony, and I think he pretty much disowned his father a long time ago. I can only hope that he can forgive his father in the end and come to pay his respects.

I wont be around much today...

Thanks Angel. lLike you, as a Christian, I would like to think that Tony found God and that he is in a better place. Since I dont have much contact with my family these days, it is possible that the frequent dreams I have been having about my Mother and Older Sister, were somehow messages about Tony's illness or his passing on. I would like to think so anyway.

I'm with you, David. It's gotta hurt knowing that Tony's just not there any more, regardless of his fate beyond life.

I pray for comfort and healing for you and your family, Bro.
