To all the mothers out there, let me wish you a happy Mothers Day.
And to you Mama...
Not a day goes by that I don't miss you. I can feel your presence around me sometimes. Especially when I am sad, or something is bothering me.
Your strong faith, discipline and philosophy have helped to mold me into the man I am today. I can only hope that you are smiling down from the balconies of heaven, content in what you helped to inspire in me.
I have felt your presence strongly this week. Tony's passing came as a surprise to me, but I think that is because I did not pay attention to your messages to me. The two dreams I have had in the last two weeks with you and my Sister, now make sense to me. I can see that you were waiting for your oldest son, and with me being so far away from the family, you wanted me to know.
I love you Mama. I always will. You are my hero and my inspiration, more than anyone I have ever known. I can only hope that your namesake, my oldest daughter, will grow up to be half the person you were. I thought of you on your birthday this week, and remembered all the things you taught me. The lessons on life and honor and truth. I don't worry so much about my Brother, I know he is with you now. So happy Mothers Day mama. I love you.
