Semana Santa (Holy Week)
Well Holy week is winding down here in Costa Rica. Like the Christmas Holiday, which last from Mid December until the end of the first week in January, Holy Week is one of those annual events where everything just shuts down more or less. After Wednesday most government offices were closed or on limited staff, and the capital empties out as everyone heads to the beach. My wife and children took advantage of the holiday to spend some time on our farm on the northern border, while I stayed at home. I tried to get some work done, but for the most part I spent the week just decompressing and enjoying the silence of a child free house. Posted by David A at April 16, 2006 02:22 AM
