Ossama's idea of Victory
Dean has an interesting Blurb about Bin Laden's latest propaganda tape. I notice that Osama Bin Laden has a new tape out. Frustrating that we haven't captured the vermin yet. But amusingly, Tigerhawk notes that a couple of years ago Bin Laden was promising to defeat America in Iraq. And he, uh, doesn't have much to say about that now. Maybe he feels he doesn't need to. Since the war has cost the U.S. hundreds of billions, over 1000 American Dead, 10's of thousands of Iraqi lives, Bush ALL of his so called "political capital," created another Afghanistan type environment in Iraq, and given the United States a black eye around the world. Sounds to me like he accomplished his goal, perhaps not how he imagined, but who knows. Bin Laden is an old guerilla warrior, in that type of war, clear cut military victory is rarely the goal.
