I also received an identical email and know for a fact that it is a scam. A long time ago, I had answered a similar email stating that I had won and they had actually sent me a large check and that I had to resend them 30% of that amount. Well, guess what, it was a fraudulent check and it cost me a hell of alot of money, and the RCMP told me that any lottery from the UK is a bogus lottery. Beware all!

I also received the same email on August 30, 2006. Good thing I did a little research before continuing any further. Their paying bank did contact me with another email and it said I was to send them 650 GBP. That's $1238.71 USD! I was supposed to have won 100,000 GBP! As of today 9/2/06 that's $190,570.57 USD.
