Ah the benefits of being a monopoly...
As I have mentioned before, ICE (The Costa Rican Electric and Telephone Company), has been fighting tooth and nail to prevent CAFTA and the competition that will come from opening the market. Tonight was a perfect example of WHY. Power failed three times tonight, and has failed two nights in the last two weeks, for an average outtage of about three hours. Now with competition people would likely tell them to go to hell and buy their electrical power from someone else.... Posted by David A at December 23, 2005 10:42 PM
