More than three years left in the Bush administration, and you're happy (or at least content) to consider it a failure? Eight years of our history?

And we agree that the reason Kerry lost in 2004 was because if personality, not platform. Kerry had neither. It wasn't Kerry versus Bush, it was yes-Bush and no-Bush -- and somehow Kerry still made a race out of it.

How do you know what my feelings are about how the administration will be viewed? ;-)

I came out and said it was an optimistic take on the situation, that it has yet to be determined. I felt obligated to put forth SOME opinion by the guys at Willisms, and given the choice between optimism and pessimism, I chose the former.

But really -- "but why bother" is your sole comment on a piece you tracked back to? There's a phrase from a Jim Steinman/Meat Loaf song that springs to mind, but it's a bit too harsh to toss around casually.

And as for your optimism on the way history will look at Bush? "I'm shocked, shocked I tell you!" You want an answer, okay I will give you one. Best case scenario, he goes down in history as a fool manipulated by Cheney and the other "powers behind the throne," worse case... He goes down in History as the biggest liar since Nixon.
