Busted!
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Rep. Tom DeLay failed to comply with House requirements that he disclose all contributions to a defense fund that pays his legal bills, the Texas Republican acknowledged to House officials. Can him, without "delay." Posted by David A at October 26, 2005 04:27 PM

Can him, without "delay." I'm not sure what you mean, David. Do you think he should be removed from office because he's been accused of a crime, or because he broke House rules, without regard to the wishes of those who elected him, or do you want to put him in jail without the benefit of a trial? Or is there some other form of "canning" that you want to employ? Exactly how do you want him canned? Especially since you don't know that he's guilty of anything worthy of these punishments. Oh, wait. I forgot. You already know he's guilty. Posted by: Boyd at October 26, 2005 09:07 PM Yep Boyd, I have seen the videos of him with lobyist promising to "fix" problems for them, and all the other crap. He's guilty as sin, of all he is guilty, I am still not sure. Posted by: David Anderson at October 26, 2005 10:42 PM Then why are we wasting time and money on investigations, grand juries and trials? David Anderson knows he's guilty, so let's just go ahead and throw him in jail. Oh, you need to tell us how long his jail term is. Whaddaya think? 10 years? 20? Aw hell, let's give him Life, okay? You just need to decide, so we can get this guilty scum off the street. And don't forget, Texas has the Death Penalty. What the hell, let's just go ahead and kill the bastard! Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggghh! Posted by: Boyd at October 27, 2005 06:39 AM Because this is America and it is his right. But let me ask you a question? Do you consider OJ Simpson Guilty? Posted by: David Anderson at October 27, 2005 09:31 AM The OJ case is a bit different, because he has been sued in civil court, and lost, despite winning acquittal in the criminal case. So yes, I believe he's guilty, but no, I don't believe he should be in jail because he was acquitted. And before his criminal trial I didn't believe he should spend the rest of his life in jail (or be executed, as would have been theoretically possible in California) without trial. I didn't think he should have been "canned without delay" because I believe in our system of justice, which, while imperfect, is the best one we've come up with.
