Actually, the state of political humor is way down, now and days, and Maher's part of the problem.

Dennis Miller was/is too (just to be fair).

Maher used to be great on PI, when he didn't talk much, but now, he's just enjoying the fact that people look at him wallowing in his own crapulence as being entertaining.

If I hear that crap-bastard moan about the "My Pet Goat" issue like he'd just invented gravity again, I'm gonna' hurl.

Point being:

Just because a comedian makes a joke in the general vacinity of your political playground, that doesn't mean he's funny.
