Obviously Chris still isn't reading...
Want more proof of liberal's hatred guiding their thoughts? Try and figure out how this article relates to the "lies" that OIF is based on. Personally, I'm baffled.

Conservative Thinking

But he is right about one thing. Hatred pretty much describes my feelings about stupidity and political blindness. The post I made yesterday referred to a number of points. One (And I will keep this short to keep Chris' attention), is that as previously stated, the Iraq war was planned and pre-determined well before any effort was made to "justify," the war. Two, despite the fact that 9/11 happened on Bush's watch, and there appears to be significant evidence that it could have been stopped, had anyone in the administration been paying attention to the threat, Conservatives continue to blame it on Clinton, Liberals, anyone but the people most responsible for it...

I have ratcheted back my blogging lately, mainly because it is just ridiculous dealing with this crap. Disagree, hate me for being a Liberal, whatever. The chickens are coming home to roost, and history will be the judge as to who is right or wrong. Most blogs are preaching to their choirs, so I am sure Chris' audience is buying his spiel. But the Truth is out there.... I am confident that it will all come to light.

Oh, and as an asside, either Liberals are the only ones taking polls these days, or a significant numbers of Conservatives have stopped drinking the Kool Aid.

Did you know that every unified combatant command has plans for battle/war in every single country in its area of responsibility?

Obviously you didn't. USCENTCOM Plan 1003 went through an update starting well after Afghanistan was no longer a war and more of a police action.

After re-reading your article I'm still not sure how the opening sentence relates to "lies". Please feel free to define that after you hear a pop sound.

Read the LINK Chris, the first link from Shakespear's Sister. The lie IS that we were not planning on Invading Iraq well before announced intentions.

Since density reigns supreme around here:

"Did you know that every unified combatant command has plans for battle/war in every single country in its area of responsibility?"

So for you to say that we were making plans is obvious to people educated in the matter. We were making plans in 1984, 1992, and every year in between as well as before and after.

Posted by: Chris Short at August 18, 2005 03:20 PM

Oh yeah, now it is clear to me Chris. (Walking away scratching my head).

Posted by: David Anderson at August 18, 2005 03:33 PM

It's simple, David. We've had plans forever. When did the Bush administration ever say that we weren't planning for Iraq?

Hell, the Clinton administration was planning for Iraq.

The fact that planning constitutes some form of a lie is what baffles me. If you're still confused I'll be around all night.

Dude, it would baffle you, blind faith in a politician and a political philosophy blinds you. Clark said they were planning on invading Iraq no matter what. So did the former Treasury Secretary, so does the Downing Street Memos. It all points to one thing dude, they lied. They planned to invade Iraq no matter what. Whether for the oil, for some kind of revenge against Saddam, whatever. They planned it, they trumped up evidence to support it, and they did it. I have 100% faith that this will all come out. Pooh Pooh it all you like. I can promise you this.... With over 55% of the American Public calling BULLSHIT at the moment, YOU are NOW in the minority, and when it all comes down, every post you have written on the subject is going to be like sandpaper on your nose, as it gets rubbed in it. I am actually grateful that Bush has three more years, plenty of time for the BS to come out before he leaves office, especially if the Democrats win a Majority next year, which if things continue as they are, THEY WILL. Be Afraid Buddy, very, very afraid.

Posted by: David Anderson at August 18, 2005 09:36 PM

I'm not afraid at all.

It's nice to know that you think military members are in the minority.

A bunch of disgruntled employees and a copy of a copy of memo that doesn't say a whole lot is a whole lot of evidence in your world I guess. That's a good thing to know.

Follow your hate... Preach your hate... It all shines through in the end.

Posted by: Chris Short at August 18, 2005 10:40 PM

Dude, first off, I am not making a difference between military and non military. 60% of Americans think Bush lied about Iraq, and that the war is bullshit. What part of that 60% is military I dont know, nor do I care. You guys are real good at dragging the military into the argument as if to make them sacred cows. They are not. Some are good men and women, others are Abu Gharib graduates. Putting on a uniform does not in the real world, shield one from criticism, if it did, there would have been no Nuremburg Trials.

And hate goes both ways, so lets not add hypocrisy to your list of ills. When is the last time you said one nice thing about someone who did not march lockstep with you and your philospophy. At least I am straight enough to admit that I hate certain things and political philosophies, while you go arround calling people a hater out of one side of your mouth, while spewing hatred for anyone left of Nixon out of the other side.

Well... If you read my blog(s) you'd know I'm not lock-step with President Bush and his administration on technology issues (the most recent issue being the .xxx debacle).

However, you comparing me to a Nazi really helps your cause. I'm through with you David. You've truly lost it and while one part of me hates the fact you've dove off the deep in another part of me is thankful you speak for the "majority".

You've managed to piss off all but a handful of conservative bloggers with your rhetoric and now you've probably lost the one milblogger who had an ounce of respect for you.
