LATOYIA FIGUEROA HYPOCRISY:

Latyoia's case is one of favortism, just like you bedwetters complain about. Her cousin is a Philadelphia City Councilman. Nowhere in the history of Philadelphia has there ever been a case where scores of police officers search a park. What about all the other minority women who don't have cousins on the city council? What about the poor, beautiful white girl from Cali who has been missing for 2 months--do you know her name? Pure hypocrisy. And, the father in Florida was far more literate and dignified. LaToyia's father said he met the guy who got her pregnant once, and didn't even know his name. Her mother died, just as she probably did, because she led the same dangerous lifestyle as LaToyia. Being an apologist for this woman and her dangerous lifestyle only perpetuates the viscious cycle. God Save her daughter.

As for the Father in Florida, like I said, I did not see Latoyia's father and friends, so I have no point of comparrison, but he was an illiterate redneck, and this did not make his case, or his pain, any less important to me.

In any event, the point is that LaToyia's case is one of hypocrisy of the highest order. Her case is receiving preferential treatment because her cousin is on city council. It's a slap in the face to the families of other missing people in Philadelphia and elsewhere.

The point is this--disparaging the Natalee Holloway case to propel some inane political agenda, by using some piece of garbage like LaToyia, is fundamentally wrong.

It is my view that LaToyia is hopelessly irresponsible and selfish. Every apparent life decision she has made makes that abundantly clear. It is interesting, however, to hear liberal bedwetters talk about the value of life. In any event, the bottom line is this--you people picked the wrong martyr because this woman, and her family, are anything but sympathetic characters. Imagine not having a $35 co-pay, but getting pregnant with another child? The national media is done with the issue too because I have pointed out the favoritism, intellectual dishonesty, ugly political motives of those pushing this story, and the reasons why LaToyia is not a sympathetic martyr. I'd also be interested in knowing who is personally collecting the Reward moneys--a bank or an independent accouting firm, and regardless of the custodian, how they are being safekept?

This story moved forward because bloggers in Philly picked up the charge, the idea spread, and a CNN producer ran with the idea. Little Mikey's reaching WAY FAR when he talks about LaToyia's connection to city council, which I'm not even sure is true.

Back to your original subject: I agree that the difference of press in the cases is the racism. What I'd like to see is a middle ground of every missing person being treated like someone worthy of searching for. I'm not keen on this idea of "disposable people" who aren't worth the effort. The Malaysian authorities are persecuting an ex-Muslim fondly known as Ayah Pin and flattened his religious commune dubbed as Sky Kingdom, which is a quasi-religious commune located in north east Malaysian.

Ayah Pin has publicly renounced his Islamic faith in 1998 but was REJECTED by the state (NB: Apostasy is a capital crime is Malaysia punishable by DEATH!)

The Persecution
In 2001, the Malaysian authorities jailed Ayah Pin for 11 months for attempting to renounce Islam. He is viewed as a security threat and they continue to harass him with all sorts of uncivilized threats befitting the low-life including smashing up the lovely giant teapot and flattening the commune, which they just did yesterday!

Prior to the destruction yesterday, the authorities raided the commune in July, 2005 and detained 45 faithful including a Kiwi, senior citizens and among others, 3 children of Ayah Pin and his 3 wives. I read somewhere; there are kids left behind unattended in commune and while some faithful have to pawn all they have to bail themselves out, the rest are still in custody.

Their crime: Being unIslamic!

As if the arrest was not good enough, mobs made up of some 35 unidentified assailants armed with Molotov cocktails attacked the commune and set the place ablaze …. Assailants attack Ayah Pin's commune with Molotov cocktails! ... I supposed mobs and Molotov cocktails are Islamic.

Eh you want to elaborate on my ignorance,or is that just I am ignorant in general? And what exactly are your qualifications to make this assessment?

Latoyia is a friend of mine. I drove her and her first and only true love to the emergency room to give birth to their beautiful daughter. Regardless of what is said out of ignorance about Latoyia--she is and has always been a wonderful person. Many times young black women do not have the proper guidance with certain issues, but that does not make them any less than white women. Latoyia has a daughter that she loves and cares for tremendously. Not knowing the status of her being, all negative words slice like razors covered with salt. We all love Latoyia--We all miss Latoyia---COME BACK HOME

If you dont know who she is--you just wouldn't understand. Her life is just as precious as the Pope's or the Virgin Mary. God placed her here on this earth to live and learn--just like every other person who is blessed enough to be born.

Thank you for your efforts. It is very hard trying to surf the internet and news stations to find out the status of those efforts. It is a nightmare not knowing. Everyday that passes could be another day subtracted from Latoyia's life. More media attention equals more eyes, and more eyes will equal somebody finding Latoyia.

Before I reply to this idiot's post, let me begin by saying Latoyia is and always will be a friend of mine. Not only was she a good mother, but she was a funny, beautiful woman. I am glad to see that this case is getting national media attention. No one complained when Lacy Peterson's story was on the news daily. I have yet to hear anyone mention anything about being annoyed about Jon Benet Ramsey, whose story is STILL in the news sometimes. Stories like this need to be placed on the news, and need to continue to be covered until they are solved. If you don't like it, turn your little tv off in your double wide, and put your head back up your ass.

You know what! Natalie also put her self in an unsafe situation! Who leaves a bar with guys she barely knows by herself! Doesn't sound like something an articulate, educated girl should do, but she made that mistake. Still what happened to her is not her fault, just like what happened to Latoyia is not her fault.
