Out Of Iraq

Thanks to the Downing Street Memos, we now know George Bush's invasion of Iraq in 2003 was based entirely on lies. Iraq had no stockpiles of WMD's or Al Qaeda ties, and Bush knew it. And Bush had no plans to rebuild Iraq after his invasion.

Two years later, Iraq is a bloody quagmire:

Because of these huge costs, the American people now oppose the war by 59%-39%. But George Bush stubbornly refuses to discuss a timetable for withdrawal.

Help us collect 1 million signatures to tell George Bush it's time to get Out Of Iraq.

You are absolutely amazing. You care about not one damed thing in this world, except about your pathetic agenda! I am so tired of leftist tunnel vision I could scream. Let me set your historically challanged thinking straight.
1. Iraq USED chemical weapons repeatedly on Iran and the Iraqy Kurds! Therefore he had them, he made them, and he used them. Only a retard like you would assume he no longer had them. No one other than the ?look at me everyone, I?m important? Blix thought he deposed of them.
2. Saddam Hussein made it repeatedly clear that his goal was to take over the entire Middle East. He wanted desperately to optain the WMD to achieve that dream.
3. With the exception of Jordan he attacked every county that borders him.
4. Saddam Hussein was a horror of a man that was directly responsible for millions of deaths.
But that?s ok with you because you want gay marriage and bush said no. So to hell with the Iraqy people and anything that Gorge does that?s a benefit to mankind. You probably weep when Pol Pot died? After all he was on the right track, just needed to tweak his program a little. Right ass hole. Did 911 screw up your ?everyone will ride a bike agenda? Its been 30 years sense you ass holes got us out of Vietnam and there still riding bikes and hoping against hope that the communist leadership will drop dead so that there?s a chance at a better life. You where wrong then and your wrong now. So go back to your bath house and get your aids and shut the fuck up!

Eh, David, obviously you did not read our comment policy. It you want to make a point, please do so, but attacking other commenters in a personal way is not allowed here. Secondly, you obviously dont know Angel becuase your homophobic comments could not be more off base.

Well Angel is so proud of his work he doesn't use his real name. Interesting!

Posted by: David Beach at June 26, 2005 12:03 AM

Angel is a SHE, and that IS her real name.

Posted by: David at June 26, 2005 12:21 AM

Thanks for supporting the troops. /sarcasm

Posted by: Chris Short at June 26, 2005 09:22 AM

Chris, I support the troops. I don't have to support an unjustified war to support the troops. And, the war in Iraq is unjustified. As a Christian, I cannot support the war.

To think one must support the war to support the troops is faulty logic. It is the same logic that says one has to support the actions of this administration or be a traitor to one's own country. Two different things. Entirely.

As for Mr. Beach ... I suggest you actually read the reports that have come out of Iraq and not jump to conclusions so rabidly. You were so busy spewing propaganda and falsehoods that you didn't realize that I am a woman and no where in my post does it say I support gay marriage. While not a homophobe, unlike yourself, I do not support gay marriage nor am I gay.

But, if you would remove your head from your own arse long enough to write a coherent sentence, you might be able to figure that one out.

Posted by: Rogue at June 26, 2005 10:46 AM

If you support the troops then maybe you should think about their wishes. To finish the mission as opposed to tucking tail and running.

I'm not asking you to support the war nor did I imply you should.

Posted by: Chris Short at June 26, 2005 10:47 AM

Coming from a military family, one that has men and women serving at this time, I am supporting the troops by asking our government to remove them from harm's way. Their lives are more important than lies.

Posted by: Rogue at June 26, 2005 10:49 AM

So much for being a Christian as a reason to not support the war.

Posted by: Chris Short at June 26, 2005 10:55 AM

Would you like to expand on that sentence?

Posted by: Rogue at June 26, 2005 11:00 AM

I am waiting to hear your reasoning on that last sentence, Chris. My belief in Christ and following Him is the number one reason I don't support this war. How I support our troops is based on that same belief in Christ.

Posted by: Rogue at June 26, 2005 11:17 AM

I see we are back to that same STUPID, "You dont support the war, you dont support the troops meme." The only people who believe that shit are the ones who would support an invassion of Canada if Bush told them it was a nest of Terrorist. Please...

Posted by: David at June 26, 2005 01:30 PM

DSA, Rogue... There really is no getting through to these people, is there? I've said it before and I'll say it again: Bush could be caught in the Oval Office with Barbara giving him a blowjob while Jenna attacked his ass with a strap-on, and these people would still defend him.

Posted by: tas at June 27, 2005 04:17 AM

That is so bad, Tas! LOL

Posted by: Rogue at June 27, 2005 04:37 PM

Good God that was vile Tas.

I'm of the opinion that at this point, we have an obligation to the Iraqi people to leave them with a stable country--regardless of whether or not you think we should be there in the first place. And perhaps I'm being naive, but I still believe that's an attainable goal, so long as our troops are given the long-term support it will require to get the job done.

Now pardon me while I go pour some Drano into my ear in an attempt to clean out the visual Tas has planted in my brain.

Posted by: Beck at June 29, 2005 04:39 AM

While I do not agree with the war in Iraq and do believe there should be an exit strategy, I agree with Beck in that we can't just leave the Iraqis now that we have totally screwed up their country and have invited every terrorist in the world there. However, I am not educated on where we are in training the Iraqis to do some of this work in stabilizing their country. And, I believe they should be playing a much larger role in that. I also believe our men and women deserve 150% more than they have gotten from our administration thus far.

It galls me to no end that our country would dare send soldiers ill equipped to die for a lie and a personal spitting contest. But, to do so without the support and equipment they need is unpardonable and I believe Bush and his administration should be held responsible for that. And, I believe that every penny of the BILLIONS UPON BILLIONS of dollar spent on this war should be ACCOUNTED for.

Posted by: Rogue at June 29, 2005 09:06 AM

hey-- i'm late getting rogue's back here, but the attacks ("retard"?!? are you six?) aren't fair. very few americans want to "cut and run." we all want a kinder, gentler iraq. we all want our troops home safe and successful.

it's just that when we see the guy who's supposed to be leading the fight give a speech like he's still in that florida classroom wishing he could just stop being president like he got to stop being the head of an oil company when that didn't work out, we worry that this war is going more in a "vietnamy" type direction than in a "world war IIy" type direction.

exit strategy, victory strategy, whatever you wanna call it, most americans want some proof besides "9/11-9/11-9/11-9/11-9/11-9/11 did i mention 9/11?" that this war's gonna end well.

(if she's actually a gay man, rogue's ability to act like one of my sisters is uncanny.)

now be nice, you right-wingers.
