I did not watch it...

Read the transcript... To use my good friend Kevin from Wizbang's favorite term... Nothing New There...

Same insulting bullshit, using 9/11 shamelessly, implying a connection between 9/11 and why we are in Iraq. Dropping the "Fight 'em there so we dont have to fight 'em here," meme. (Wonder how the Iraqis feel about us using their country and their people as a buffer zone. Yawn....

Ezra has a better take on it than I do...

YAWN...is right. Same old Bush=evil meme.
The anti-war left has absolutely no grasp of reality.
I guess it's easy to talk about all that though from the relative safety of Costa Rica, or MORE to the point--for everyone else--the safety of the U.S. since Zarqawi's concentrating on playing his little "insurgency" game (HA!) in Iraq, isn't it? Rather than here in the US? Maybe y'all ought to read a little about the Beslan massacre, to reacquaint yourselves with what these ANIMALS (no moral equivalency spouted here) are capable of, since terrorism on our turf seems so unfathomable.

You might also want to remember that 9/11 didn't happen BECAUSE OF Iraq, too, since you love to separate the two. Islamofascists hate secularism everywhere, and will take any opportunity they can find. Maybe it's just me (NOT), but I really do value my daughter's and other loved one's lives over those of random Iraqis, Afghanis, Russians in Beslan, French, Koreans, whatever. Too bad y'all are too dishonest to admit the same. So how "they feel" about it really isn't in the equation.

Besides, if y'all bothered to listen to Iraqis other than the ones other than Baghdad Burning and the like, you'd see that they KNOW they've had to sacrifice to be freed from Saddam and they do NOT long for the "good old days," despite the loss of life to the sub-human (again, no moral relativism here) terrorists.

Thanks for the honesty. That is the difference between us I guess. I do care. Also The Majority of my family is still in the U.S. so please dont make assumptions.

Finaly I should point out that sources a lot more informed than you and I, have repeatedly stated that the War in Iraq has made the world a more dangerous place, including the recent CIA report that states that Iraq is being used as a training ground for the next generation of Terrorist, the ones who may someday be waging urban combat on our streets.

"..recent CIA report that states that Iraq is being used as a training ground for the next generation of Terrorist, the ones who may someday be waging urban combat on our streets."

So we'll go ahead and pull out. That'll stop them from training!

"Wonder how the Iraqis feel about us using their country and their people as a buffer zone."

Without being snarky about it, 8 million of them are okay with it. Today's NYTimes reports on the BROAD support that the current Iraqi gov't has, and the patience the Iraqi people have for the war, it's costs, and deprivations.

Coincidentally, I wrote yesterday about the Americans' patience for the war. 58% are willing to see it through -- a number which hasn't changed since late '03.

It's because we didn't care and didn't value the lives of other folks that we have them coming over here and blowing up our buildings and people. That's the problem that we have here... we'll neglect and exploit folks all over the world, and then we're astonished when they decide to bring the pain to our doorstep. The U.S. is the greatest country in the world for citizens, but it is often the worst nightmare of everyone else.

I suspect that the reason support for the war hasn't changed much is because people understand that once you're there, you're there until the end. I think it was Colin Powell who said, "If you break it, you bought it." or something like that.

Never suggested we pull out Marcus. You need to read my post on my position on the war.
