Why is the author link for this post pointed at my site? I didn't write it. Posted by: Rob at May 13, 2005 02:03 PM Ooops! Sorry there, Rob. Let me go check my macro plugin and see why that is. :) Posted by: Rogue at May 13, 2005 02:15 PM Fixed it. I had copy/pasted his tag to make your tag, but I forgot to put "Rob" in one place so "Doogntoon" was still there instead and it messed it all up. Sorry! Posted by: Rogue at May 13, 2005 02:19 PM Why do I have a tag here at all? Posted by: Rob at May 13, 2005 02:22 PM I created David macros that would link people's names to their blogs and save him the time of having to do it. It is a plugin that makes blogging a little easier. And, since David mentions your name at times in his posts, I made him a tag with your name that links your name to your blog. Posted by: Rogue at May 13, 2005 02:26 PM I see. Here I thought somebody was trying to impersonate me. Thank you for the explanation. That sounds like a nifty plug in. Did you write it yourself? Posted by: Rob at May 13, 2005 02:35 PM Nah. I wish I could write something like that. :) It allows you to automatically link people to their sites, allows you to type a word into a post and an image appear (I use this to put smilies on my blog), and you can even use it to make popup boxes appear over words explaining them. It is pretty nifty. I don't know what kind of system you use, but if it is MT and you are interested, I can send you the files. Posted by: Rogue at May 13, 2005 02:38 PM No, I'm a devout Wordpress user. It allows me more flexibility, the posting is faster (I'm pretty rapid fire at times) and I haven't had a single problem with spam since I moved and installed the Spam Karma and Bad Behavior plug ins. Posted by: Rob at May 13, 2005 02:40 PM WordPress just wasn't my cup of tea! I tried converting ISOU to WP not long ago and it was like trying to learn Japanese or something. I just could not get it. But, I am pretty skilled with the MT and Blacklist does a pretty good job with the spam. Posted by: Rogue at May 13, 2005 02:43 PM Its definetly a whole new world after Movable Type, but once you get used to it its not too hard. I certainly prefer it, but everyone has different tastes.
